Hanad Ali Jama (Hanad Xikmaawi) Hanad Ali Jama is the Head of the Production Department at the Office of Media and Communications of the Puntland Parliament. He is a media and communications professional with seven years of experience in the media industry, with expertise in media production, journalism, digital media, public communication, content development, and web development. Hanad has built a diverse professional background across government, media, telecommunications, technology, and business. In his current role at the Puntland Parliament, he contributes to the production and management of media content covering parliamentary activities, public affairs, and institutional communications. In addition to his professional media experience, Hanad has worked as a Freelance Journalist, gaining practical experience in news gathering, reporting, interviewing, content creation, and communicating important stories to the public. Prior to his current role, he served as Head of Sales at True Cable, where he contributed to business development, client relations, team coordination, and market development. Hanad began his education at Salahudiin School in Bosaso and later earned a Diploma in Office Management from Golis University, Berbera. He subsequently obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, strengthening his technical, analytical, web development, and managerial skills. Member of the Puntland Parliament | Chairman, Shaqaalaha Political Party Hon. Abdulqadir Farah Dhashane is a distinguished Somali public servant and political leader currently serving as a Member of the Puntland Parliament for the 2024–2029 parliamentary term. He previously served in the 2019–2024 parliamentary term, marking his second consecutive term as a member of the Puntland Parliament. He also serves as the Chairman of the Shaqaalaha Political Party, where he provides political leadership and contributes to the advancement of the party’s objectives and public engagement. Education Hon. Abdulqadir began his education at Gambool School in Garowe, where he completed his primary and secondary education. He later pursued higher education, earning his first university degree before continuing his academic development at Burnel University in London, where he studied Community Development and Media. Public Service & Leadership Prior to entering Parliament, Hon. Abdulqadir served in senior positions within the Puntland administration. From 2014 to 2019, he served as Director of Projects at the Puntland Presidency, contributing to the coordination, management, and implementation of development initiatives and projects. In 2019, he was elected as a Member of the Puntland Parliament for the 2019–2024 term. Following his continued commitment to public service and political leadership, he was re-elected for a second term, serving in the 2024–2029 Puntland Parliament.
